CMS Danskin Acoustics offer two varieties of Vertiface Type 'A' and Type 'R'. Although they have much in common there are differences relating to available colourways tile size available thicknesses roll width and Noise Reduction Coefficient. Where there are differences they are highlighted on this website. There are also separate datasheets for each type.

Applications

Vertiface acoustic wall panels are especially well suited to the education sector, commercial offices, theatres, libraries, retail, restaurants, residential applications including children’s bedrooms, stairwells and corridors. It is used anywhere that reverberated noise is a problem.

There are different colours availalbe for Vertiface Type 'A' and Vertifiace Type 'R'.

Specification

Constructed from polyester fibres thermally bonded in a non-woven matrix and high laminated to a high density polyester fibre backing. It is supplied as tiles, either with self-adhesive backing or plain, and can also be supplied in rolls. It is available in fine velour, ‘Classic’ rib and embossed finishes and in a wide range of colours. A 25mm thick version is also available in sheets; this exhibits increased acoustic absorption characteristics.

Class ‘A’ Absorption

The absorption classes offered by Vertiface acoustic wall panels now range from D through to A, with material combinations available to suit all aborption classes. Where Class A absorption is required, Vertiface acousic wall panels should be installed on battens to create an air space for enhanced performance.

Acoustic Performance

Vertiface acoustic wall panels have been tested to a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.4 and will typically reduce reverberated noise by

Approximately 40%. With additional backing material, Vertiface Type 'A' can achieve 1.05 NRC and Vertiface Type 'R' can achieve 0.95 NRC. Our technical team can advise further on these matters.

Installation

Care and Maintenance

Vertiface acoustic wall panels are extremely durable and requires little attention to retain its good looks. Full cleaning and maintenance details are available – please contact us for a detailed product folder.

Vertiface acoustic wall panels are installed using standard hand tools. It is fixed in place using Fastfix adhesive, and a range of extrusions are available to ensure neat, durable edges if required.

Design Flexibility

Vertiface acoustic wall panels offer design flexibility to include cut-ins and logos as the material does not fray when cut.

It incorporates the additional benefits of Pinguard, meaning that it can also be used as a display board without having unsightly pin holes in the wall.

Available in a choice of 30 vibrant colours, the Vertiface acoustic wall panel range can be used to create a warmer, brighter environment.

Simple to install rolls, tiles or panels

Vertiface acoustic wall panels are easy to install from roll material. Once the installation is planned and drops cut, a contact adhesive should be used, which is available from CMS Acoustics in either 5 litre or aerosol containers.

For best results, two-way application of the adhesive is recommended to both surfaces. If one-way application is used, it is important that the adhesive is applied to the wall rather than the product.

For Butt joined installations, the product should be installed lengthways and the drops rolled toward the joins first, and then rolled down the entire drop.

When using rigid profiles, these should be installed prior to hanging the rolls, when applying the adhesive, a gap of 70mm should be left either side of the profiles to allow for tucking in.

For smaller areas, a ‘peel and stick’ backed tile solution is available to offer additional flexibility.

Construction from 100% polyester fibres, Vertiface acoustic wall panels are fully recyclable, ensuring an environmentally friendly solution. It is a safe non-toxic and non-irritant material that meets Bristish Standards Flammability rating for the purpose of its installation.
