CMS Danskin Acoustics Introduces Karma®

Karma®

CMS Danskin Acoustics, one of the UK’s leading providers of acoustic and vibration solutions, has launched Karma® Smartfloor – a new range of low profile dry screeding systems which deliver excellent airborne and impact sound control while keeping floor depth to a minimum.

With developments under increasing pressure to maximise saleable space while delivering properties which are acoustically fit for purpose, CMS Danskin Acoustics has expanded its existing airborne sound range to specifically address this challenge. Incorporating an absorbent high density board which prevents the passage of sound, it is a very low profile product which achieves excellent sound control.

Neil Clifford, Sales Director, CMS Danskin Acoustics, comments: “Land is at a premium, which means getting the maximum return on a development is a priority. We’ve developed Karma® Smartfloor as a solution which delivers the best acoustic performance with minimum impact on space. Ideal for new builds, timber frame buildings or refurbishments, this range plugs a gap in our existing offering to enable us to meet the requirements of virtually any project.”

Available as three products – Karma® Smartfloor, Karma® Smartfloor WF and Karma® Smartfloor RC – the range gives specifiers flexibility over performance specification. As a simple to install board, it is available in 18mm and 22mm thicknesses. Where enhanced sound reduction is required, Karma® Smartfloor WF incorporates an additional wood fibre laminate and is supplied in an overall thickness of 28mm or 32mm.

Leveraging its exclusive UK agreement to supply the market-leading Regupol® range, CMS Danskin Acoustics has designed Karma® Smartfloor RC to provide superior levels of sound attenuation. The standard Karma® Smartfloor with a Regupol® Comfort 6/3 laminate delivers the highest levels of impact sound reduction – all within low profile system overall thicknesses of 24mm or 28mm.

Designed with ease of installation in mind, Karma® Smartfloor has a unique ½ type T&G edging which allows the boards to be simply slotted together on an angle – which also gives a much cleaner finish by enabling the final board to be installed closer to the floor perimeter.
